I'm trying out a tool made by [TheVinlow](https://www.reddit.com/user/TheVinlow/) called [Web2Labs](https://www.web2labs.com/studio). It's an automated video editor. What's the value proposition? Don't spend money on hiring an editor because this tool does it for you for much less. After signing up, you're presented with this screen: ![[Screenshot 2026-02-26 at 10.39.24 AM.png]] ## Intro Screen - There's a lot of information on this screen. For a completely new user, I'm a bit overwhelmed. - Suggestion: Move the content from the left panel into a drop down in the top menu. For example "Home" is duplicated by tapping on `Web2Labs`, "Joshua Grant" is already duplicated by tapping on the profile icon. API, News, Pricing, Ideas, What's Next, Social Links, T&C, Privacy, etc don't need to take up permanent real estate. Hiding the menu doesn't resize the main content: ![[Screenshot 2026-02-26 at 10.50.52 AM.png]] - Suggestion: Creator credits shouldn't be so prominent as a first-time user. Ideally, I'd be aware that there's some sort of limit, but not reminded constantly at the top of the screen, since that makes me reluctant to try (not wanting to a drive a car with low gas). Put them in the top menu, maybe look at [Civitai](https://civitai.com/) for an example of a premium upgrade banner that isn't as prominent - I think the UI makes it hard to determine what I want to do. Right now, for example, I don't have a video to upload. I'm not sure I want to pick an example since they might not be representative of my content. I'm going to upload a video to test, but that's another friction point, since I'll have to step away and record on my phone, and then send to my computer, to test. - Suggestion: Allowing the user to record directly in the portal would be a good way to have them try out the main feature, and get invested, with less friction.
